Interface 4/5
The interface of this Fitbit app is far from being simple and intuitive – there are just too many various features, and you can easily get lost. However, once you have invested a couple of hours into sorting things out, it starts making perfect sense. There are separate menus for every major aspect of your health, and that’s pretty cool: just select a thing you’d like to improve or monitor, and get all available data instantly.
Features 4.5/5
Fitbit apk covers just about every little aspect of your fitness practice. You can track basic stats like heart rate and stress levels, use built-in tools to sleep better or meditate, access free workout guides and nutrition plans, and so on. Fitbit also allows you to connect a smartwatch or tracker to gather more detailed data – and then it can be analyzed or exported to other apps. Even the free Fitbit version provides you with enough tools to plan your fitness practice, stay motivated and reach out to the community – and there is also Fitbit Premium with personalized help and great workouts selected just for you.
Usability 3/5
However, all these features just don’t seem to work that well. While the app’s usability is seriously limited, if you don’t have a compatible tracker, even Fitbit’s own trackers seem to have connectivity and syncing issues that are so severe that those devices become almost useless. The app just stops working every now and then, and to make it work again, you have to uninstall it completely and then start all over again.
Platforms 4/5
Fitbit is fairly popular, and you can find a suitable version for just about every operating system imaginable: there is a popular Android Fitbit app, but if you have an iPhone or another piece of Apple technology, just go to AppStore and find an iOS Fitbit version. And what’s even better, the app supports many different trackers and most of the modern smartwatches.
Conclusion
Fitbit is full of really nice features, but syncing problems and other bugs make them effectively useless. So be sure to check it out – but don’t rush to buy Premium until you’ve seen how the app really works for you.
